Just being successful in telephony


Let's have a walk in the footsteps of Italian telephony, made of Know-How and User Friendliness. An impressive portfolio of products over one century, starting with the "Western Electric" in 1915 up to the fascinating "OCEANO" in 2003.




1915
AWARDS & PRIZES:
The first Western Electric phone set was born in the very beginning of the 20th Century. It was made out of wood and equipped with a local battery supply.




1925
AWARDS & PRIZES:
Charleston was the first telephone set equipped with the dialler and compatible with the automatic switch system designed by "STANDARD Elettrica Italiana", called Rotary 7; born during the WW II, this telephone was largely distributed along the second half of the Thirties up to 1954. It was the main reference over 30 years up to the appearance of the electro-mechanical system called, "Pentaconta".




1935
AWARDS & PRIZES:
The first telephone set out of bakelite with an eye both to design and Rotary-technology compability.







1960
PECULIARITA':
The first phone set conceived as a complete Range of dialler-phones.
FACE came up brilliantly in the market in the Sixties and through the Seventies with "Disco".
FACE came up brilliantly in the market with "Disco" in the Sixties.
