Charleston was the first telephone set equipped with the dialler and compatible with the automatic switch system designed by "STANDARD Elettrica Italiana", called Rotary 7; born during the WW II, this telephone was largely distributed along the second half of the Thirties up to 1954.
It was the main reference over 30 years up to the appearance of the electro-mechanical system called, "Pentaconta". |
